Taliban Captured Kabul (तालिबान ने काबुल पर कब्जा किया)
Taliban Captured Kabul
Recently the Taliban captured Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, raising questions about the Afghan forces trained by the US and NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization).
The Taliban has declared that no one will be subjected to violence and that it will respect the peaceful transition process, as well as work towards a future Islamic order that is acceptable to all.
️Taliban
The Taliban (“students” in Pashto) is a terrorist organization that emerged in northern Pakistan after the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan in the early 1990s.
It is an Islamic fundamentalist political and military organization currently operating in Afghanistan. It had been in an important position in Afghan politics for a long time.
The Taliban have been fighting against the US-backed government in Kabul for nearly 20 years. He wants to reintroduce a strict form of Islam in Afghanistan.
️Key Points
1️. Terrorist attack
About 3,000 people were killed in the terrorist attacks in the US on September 11, 2001.
About a month after this attack, the US started airstrikes against Afghanistan (Operation Enduring Freedom).
Transitional Government in Afghanistan
Following the attacks, NATO coalition troops declared war on Afghanistan. In no time, the US overthrew the Taliban regime and established a transitional government in Afghanistan.
America long ago came to the conclusion that this war was invincible and that peace talks were the only way to end it.
2. ️’Muri’ dialogue
In 2015, the US sent a representative to the first meeting between the Taliban and the Afghan government, which was hosted by Pakistan in ‘Muri’ in 2015.
However, some progress could not be achieved through the ‘Muri’ talks.
3. ️Doha talks
Before the start of the Doha talks in 2020, the Taliban made it clear that they would only hold direct talks with the US and not the Kabul government.
In a subsequent agreement, the US administration promised that it would withdraw all US troops from Afghanistan by May 1, 2021.
After some time this deadline has been extended to September 11, 2021.
This agreement signaled a victory to the Taliban and at the same time greatly affected the morale of the Afghan soldiers.
Under the agreement, the Taliban promised to reduce violence, engage in intra-Afghan peace talks and end all ties with foreign terrorist groups.
Reason for Surrender
1️. Afghan’s psychological denial
Afghanistan’s psychological denial that the US would actually leave them, a lack of military strategy, poor supplies and logistics, uncertain and low manned positions, unpaid positions and betrayals, abandonment, and low morale, all played a role in the surrender.
Afghan had technical dependence on America for air support, weapon system, intelligence, etc.
2. ️Lack of training of Afghan forces
The Afghan National Army was never really trained and was not equipped with the usual characteristics of a national army capable of defending the area with enough maneuverability, artillery, armor, engineering, logistics, intelligence, air support, etc.
3. ️Lack of preparation
The Afghan army was unprepared and was taken aback by the Taliban attack.
4. America’s ‘conditional withdrawal’
America decided to withdraw its troops unconditionally without waiting for a political solution without any negotiations.
Current Scenario
It is the first time Taliban fighters have entered the city since their expulsion in the wake of the 9/11 attacks 20 years ago, the first time the Taliban captured the capital in 1996.
The Taliban have captured Kabul and many ministers, including the former president, have fled the country.
Among the cities to be captured is Jalalabad located in the east and many cities are under target.

History of Indepenence Day
Independence Day
Independence Day
