Siddhivinayak Temple:मुंबई में सबसे प्रसिद्ध हिंदू मंदिरों में से एक, सिद्धिविनायक मंदिर वह स्थान है जहां गणेश भगवान की पूजा की जाती है। मूल रूप से 1801 में निर्मित, वर्तमान भवन परिसर 1993 में पूरे हुए जीर्णोद्धार का परिणाम है। जबकि इस मंदिर को अपनी अधिकांश लोकप्रियता मूर्ति के सिंहासन को ढकने वाले विशाल मात्रा में सोने से मिली है, इसके कई अन्य पहलू भी हैं इस इमारत की जो आगंतुकों को आकर्षित करती है।
देवता: मंदिर के प्राथमिक देवता भगवान गणेश हैं, जिन्हें “बाधाओं का निवारण करने वाले” और “शुरुआत के भगवान” के रूप में सम्मानित किया जाता है।
महत्व: यह मंदिर अपने भक्तों की इच्छाओं को पूरा करने के लिए जाना जाता है, और कई लोग सफलता, समृद्धि और अपने जीवन में बाधाओं को दूर करने का आशीर्वाद लेने के लिए सिद्धिविनायक के दर्शन करते हैं।
गणेश मूर्ति: सिद्धिविनायक मंदिर में भगवान गणेश की मूर्ति काले पत्थर से बनी है और उनकी सूंड दाईं ओर मुड़ी हुई है, जिसे हिंदू धर्म में शुभ माना जाता है। मूर्ति ढाई फीट ऊंची है।

इतिहास
मंदिर का निर्माण मूल रूप से 1801 में लक्ष्मण विथु और देउबाई पाटिल द्वारा किया गया था।
मूल मंदिर एक छोटी ईंट की संरचना थी जिसकी माप 3.6 मीटर * 3.6 मीटर वर्ग फुट थी। एक गुंबद के आकार का शिखर संरचना को सुशोभित करता है और इसके भीतर गणपति की एक काले पत्थर की मूर्ति रखी गई है, जो आज भी बरकरार है। स्थानीय किंवदंतियों के अनुसार, रामकृष्ण जांभेकर महाराज (जो एक हिंदू संत, अक्कलकोट स्वामी समर्थ के प्रबल अनुयायी थे) ने अपने गुरु के निर्देश के अनुसार सिद्धिविनायक मूर्ति के सामने दो मूर्तियां गाड़ दीं। जैसा कि स्वामी समर्थ ने भविष्यवाणी की थी, 21 साल बाद, उस स्थान पर एक मंदार का पेड़ उग आया जहां इन दोनों मूर्तियों को दफनाया गया था। पेड़ की शाखाओं पर स्वयंभू गणेश की छवि थी।
जब 1952 में एक सड़क विस्तार कार्य के दौरान हनुमान की मूर्ति की खोज की गई, तो उन्हें समर्पित एक छोटा मंदिर भी मंदिर परिसर में जोड़ा गया। वर्षों से, इस मंदिर से जुड़ी प्रसिद्धि और स्थानीय कहानियाँ दूर-दूर तक फैल गईं। 1990 में 3 करोड़ भारतीय रुपये की लागत से इस मंदिर का बड़े पैमाने पर नवीनीकरण किया गया, जिससे 200 साल पुराना, मामूली मंदिर मुंबई के सबसे आकर्षक और भव्य मंदिरों में से एक बन गया।
त्यौहार: गणेश चतुर्थी सिद्धिविनायक मंदिर में मनाए जाने वाले प्रमुख त्यौहारों में से एक है। इस दौरान, मंदिर में भक्तों की भारी भीड़ देखी जाती है, और विस्तृत सजावट और उत्सव होते हैं।
