Holi 2024:होली, रंगों का त्योहार, शायद भारत में सबसे जीवंत और उत्सुकता से प्रतीक्षित हिंदू उत्सव है, जो वसंत की उपस्थिति और बुराई पर अच्छाई की जीत को दर्शाता है। इसे “रंगों का त्योहार” या डोल जात्रा” या “बसंत उत्सव” के रूप में भी जाना जाता है, होली हिंदू कैलेंडर में फाल्गुन महीने की रात में पूर्णिमा या पूर्णिमा के साथ दिखाई देती है।
होली महोत्सव का इतिहास यहीं से शुरू होता है। भागवत पुराण की हिंदू पौराणिक कथाओं के अनुसार, जो होली त्योहार के पूरे इतिहास का खुलासा करती है, हिरण्यकशिपु राक्षसी असुरों का राजा था और उसने एक वरदान प्राप्त किया था जिससे उसे पांच विशेष शक्तियां प्राप्त हुईं। उन्होंने सभी से केवल उनकी पूजा करने को कहा।
लेकिन उनके पुत्र, प्रह्लाद ने असहमति जताई और भगवान विष्णु को समर्पित कर दिया। क्रुद्ध हिरण्यकशिपु ने क्रूर दंड दिए और अंततः प्रह्लाद की दुष्ट बहन होलिका ने उसे धोखे से अपने साथ चिता पर बैठाया। जैसे ही आग भड़की, होलिका जल गई जबकि प्रह्लाद बच गया।
शाम के समय, विष्णु प्रकट हुए और अपने शेर के पंजों से राजा को मार डाला।
