Teachers’ Day 2021: History, Celebration

Teachers’ Day: भारत में, देश के पूर्व राष्ट्रपति, दार्शनिक , विद्वान और भारत रत्न से सम्मानित डॉ सर्वपल्ली राधाकृष्णन के जन्मदिन को चिह्नित करने के लिए प्रतिवर्ष 5 सितंबर को शिक्षक दिवस मनाया जाता है, इनका जन्म 1888 में इसी दिन हुआ था।

History

1962 में जब डॉ राधाकृष्णन ने भारत के दूसरे राष्ट्रपति का पद संभाला, तो उनके छात्रों ने 5 सितंबर को एक विशेष दिन के रूप में मनाने की अनुमति लेने के लिए उनसे संपर्क किया। इसके बजाय डॉ राधाकृष्णन ने उनसे समाज में शिक्षकों के योगदान को पहचानने के लिए 5 सितंबर को शिक्षक दिवस के रूप में मनाने का अनुरोध किया।

आश्चर्यजनक बात यह है कि वह बहुत ही विनम्र व्यक्ति थे। जब वे भारत के राष्ट्रपति बने, तो राष्ट्रपति भवन सभी के लिए खुला था और समाज के सभी वर्गों के लोग उनसे मिल सकते थे।

क्या आप जानते हैं कि उन्होंने 10,000 रुपये वेतन में से केवल 2500 रुपये स्वीकार किए थे और शेष राशि हर महीने प्रधानमंत्री राष्ट्रीय राहत कोष में दान की थी? सर्वपल्ली राधाकृष्णन का 17 अप्रैल 1975 को निधन हुआ था।

5 सितंबर को स्कूलों, कॉलेजों, विश्वविद्यालयों और शैक्षणिक संस्थानों में शिक्षक दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है। छात्रों ने अपने सबसे प्रिय शिक्षकों के लिए प्रदर्शन, नृत्य और विस्तृत कार्यक्रमों की मेजबानी की।

वे अपने सबसे प्रशंसित शिक्षकों के लिए भी उपहार लाते हैं। यह शिक्षकों के लिए भी उतना ही खास दिन है, क्योंकि उन्हें पता चलता है कि उनके छात्र उन्हें कितना पसंद करते हैं और उनकी सराहना करते हैं।
