Classification Of Indian Soils : मिट्टी के प्रकारों को कई और कारकों (रंग, गहराई, पीएच, उत्पादकता, बनावट और गठन की प्रक्रिया) के अनुसार वर्गीकृत किया जाता है।
भारत में प्रमुख मिट्टी के प्रकार
1.लाल मिट्टी :- लाल मिट्टी के दो व्यापक वर्ग हैं
A. मैला संरचना के साथ लाल दोमट और कंक्रीटरी सामग्री की सामग्री की अनुमति दें।
B. ढीली, पारगम्य ऊपरी मिट्टी के साथ लाल मिट्टी और माध्यमिक कंक्रीट की एक उच्च सामग्री।
आम तौर पर, ये मिट्टी झरझरा और भुरभुरी संरचनाओं के साथ हल्की बनावट वाली होती है और इसमें चूना कंकर और मुक्त कार्बोनेट का अभाव होता है। उनके पास अम्लीय प्रतिक्रियाओं के लिए तटस्थ है और नाइट्रोजन ह्यूमस, फॉस्फोरिक एसिड और चूने में कमी है।
2. पीट और दलदली मिट्टी
ये मिट्टी केरल, उड़ीसा के तटीय मार्ग, पश्चिम बंगाल के सुंदरबन क्षेत्र में पाई जाती है। जब ऐसे गीले स्थानों में उगने वाली वनस्पति मर जाती है, तो यह मिट्टी के अत्यधिक गीलेपन के कारण बहुत धीरे-धीरे विघटित हो जाती है और कई सैकड़ों वर्षों के बाद, आंशिक रूप से सड़े हुए कार्बनिक पदार्थों की एक परत सतह पर जमा हो जाती है, जिससे ऐसी पीट और दलदली मिट्टी को जन्म मिलता है। ये काले रंग की, भारी और अत्यधिक अम्लीय मिट्टी हैं। जब ठीक से जल निकासी और निषेचित किया जाता है, तो ये मिट्टी चावल की अच्छी फसल पैदा करती है।
3. लैटेराइट और लैटेराइट मिट्टी
ये मिट्टी लाल से लाल पीले रंग की होती है और N, P, K, चूना और मैग्नीशिया में कम होती है। ये मिट्टी बारी-बारी से शुष्क और गीली अवधियों के साथ उच्च वर्षा की परिस्थितियों में स्वस्थानी बनती है। भारी वर्षा के कारण मिट्टी के कोलाइड और सिलिका का अत्यधिक निक्षालन होता है इसलिए मिट्टी झरझरा होती है।
4. लवणीय और क्षारीय मिट्टी
ये मिट्टियाँ मरुस्थलीय क्षेत्रों की अपेक्षा थोड़ी अधिक वर्षा वाले क्षेत्रों में पाई जाती हैं। वे सतह पर कैल्शियम और मैग्नीशियम और सोडियम के लवणों की सफेद परत दिखाते हैं।
5. काली मिट्टी
ये ज्यादातर मिट्टी की मिट्टी होती हैं और शुष्क मौसम के दौरान गहरी दरारें बनाती हैं। चूने का संचय आम तौर पर अलग-अलग गहराई पर देखा जाता है। वे कपास उगाने के लिए उपयुक्त हैं। इन मिट्टी में नाइट्रोजन, फॉस्फोरिक एसिड और कार्बनिक पदार्थों की कमी होती है लेकिन कैल्शियम, पोटाश और मैग्नीशियम से भरपूर होती है।
6. वन और पहाड़ी मिट्टी
ये मिट्टी उच्च ऊंचाई के साथ-साथ कम ऊंचाई पर भी होती है, जहां पेड़ों को समर्थन देने के लिए पर्याप्त वर्षा होती है। ये मिट्टी बहुत उथली, खड़ी, पथरीली और खेत की फसलों के उत्पादन के लिए अनुपजाऊ हैं। हालांकि, वे लकड़ी और ईंधन जैसे वन उत्पादों की आपूर्ति करके एक बहुत ही उपयोगी उद्देश्य की पूर्ति करते हैं।
7. जलोढ़ मिट्टी
ये मिट्टी नदियों के किनारे होती हैं और बाढ़ के दौरान नदियों द्वारा जमा की गई मिट्टी की सामग्री का प्रतिनिधित्व करती हैं। आमतौर पर, वे बहुत उत्पादक मिट्टी होती हैं लेकिन कई में नाइट्रोजन, ह्यूमस और फास्फोरस की कमी होती है।
8. रेगिस्तानी मिट्टी
ये ज्यादातर रेतीली मिट्टी हैं जो कम वर्षा वाले ट्रैक में होती हैं। वे घुलनशील लवणों के साथ अच्छी तरह से आपूर्ति की जाती हैं लेकिन नाइट्रोजन और कार्बनिक पदार्थों में कम होती हैं और इनका उच्च पीएच मान होता है। ये उत्पादक हैं और हवा के कटाव के अधीन हैं।
गहराई के अनुसार मिट्टी के प्रकार
उथली मिट्टी – मिट्टी की गहराई 22.5 सेमी से कम। ऐसी मिट्टी में केवल उथली जड़ वाली फसलें ही उगाई जाती हैं, उदा। धान, नगली।
मध्यम गहरी मिट्टी – मिट्टी की गहराई 22.5 से 45 सेमी इस प्रकार की मिट्टी में मध्यम गहरी जड़ों वाली फसलें उगाई जाती हैं। गन्ना, केला, चना।
गहरी मिट्टी – मिट्टी की गहराई 45 सेमी से अधिक होती है। इस प्रकार की मिट्टी में लंबी और गहरी जड़ों वाली फसलें उगाई जाती हैं। आम, नारियल।
