Srinivasa Ramanujan Biography: Srinivasa Ramanujan was an extraordinary Indian mathematician born on December 22, 1887, in Erode, Tamil Nadu, India. He grew up with a natural affinity for numbers and mathematics, displaying remarkable abilities from a young age despite receiving limited formal training in the subject.

However, due to financial constraints and lack of formal education, his work initially went unnoticed in India.

In 1913, Ramanujan sent a letter with some of his mathematical findings to the renowned mathematician G.H. Hardy at the University of Cambridge. Impressed by the depth and originality of Ramanujan’s work, Hardy invited him to England in 1914, where Ramanujan collaborated with Hardy and others, making significant contributions to various areas of mathematics.
