Jagannath Rath Yatra 2024: ओडिशा के पुरी में रविवार को भगवान जगन्नाथ की वार्षिक रथ यात्रा शुरू हुई। इस वर्ष, विशेष खगोलीय व्यवस्थाओं के कारण, धार्मिक आयोजन दो दिनों तक चलेगा। राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू ने देश भर से आए लाखों भक्तों के साथ पुरी में रथ यात्रा देखी।

किंवदंती के अनुसार, भगवान जगन्नाथ इस दिन मौसी मां मंदिर से गुंडिचा मंदिर गए थे, जो उनकी मौसी का घर था। वे अपनी बहन सुभद्रा और बड़े भाई बलभद्र के साथ वहां गए थे।

इसलिए, इस दिन को हर साल जगन्नाथ रथ यात्रा के रूप में मनाया जाता है, जिसके दौरान भगवान और उनके दो भाई-बहनों की मूर्ति को एक रथ पर रखा जाता है। पूरे भारत में इस जुलूस का बहुत महत्व है।

जगन्नाथ रथ यात्रा को गुंडिचा यात्रा या रथ महोत्सव के रूप में भी जाना जाता है क्योंकि यह वर्ष का वह समय होता है जब भगवान जगन्नाथ अपने भाई-बहनों भगवान बलभद्र और देवी सुभद्रा के साथ मंदिर से निकलते हैं और रथों में सवार होकर गुंडिचा मंदिर की ओर बढ़ते हैं।
