Early Life and Education
Vasundhara Raje was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, into the Scindia family, which has a rich history in Indian politics and administration. She completed her schooling from Presentation Convent, Kodaikanal, and later studied at Sophia College in Mumbai. After finishing her education, she entered politics.

Political Career
Raje’s political career began in the 1980s. She was elected to the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly in 1985 and served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for several terms. In 1989, she became the State Minister for Small Scale Industries, Government of Rajasthan. She held various portfolios in the state government over the years.
She served as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan for the first time from December 2003 to December 2008. During her tenure, she implemented several developmental and infrastructural projects in the state. She was re-elected as the Chief Minister in December 2013 and served until December 2018.
