Ashok Gehlot Biography: Ashok Gehlot is an Indian politician and a member of the Indian National Congress (INC) party. Born on May 3, 1951, in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, Gehlot has had a long and distinguished political career in the state of Rajasthan.

अशोक गहलोत एक भारतीय राजनीतिज्ञ और भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस (आईएनसी) पार्टी के सदस्य हैं। 3 मई, 1951 को जोधपुर, राजस्थान में जन्मे, गहलोत का राजस्थान राज्य में एक लंबा और प्रतिष्ठित राजनीतिक करियर रहा है।

Early Life and Education:

Ashok Gehlot was born into a family with a political background. He completed his Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Jodhpur (now Jai Narain Vyas University). During his student days, Gehlot was active in politics and was associated with the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), the student wing of the Indian National Congress.

Political Career:

Gehlot’s political journey began when he was elected as the President of the Rajasthan Pradesh Youth Congress in 1974. He later served as the General Secretary of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee. He was first elected to the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly in 1980 from the Sardarpura constituency in Jodhpur.

Over the years, Gehlot held various ministerial positions in the Rajasthan state government, including the Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation, Public Health Engineering, and Industry. He also served as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan for the first time from December 1998 to November 2003.

Chief Minister of Rajasthan:

Gehlot’s second term as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan began in December 2008 after the Indian National Congress won the state elections. During his tenure, he implemented several welfare schemes and development projects, focusing on education, healthcare, and infrastructure.

He was re-elected as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan in December 2018 after the Congress party’s victory in the state assembly elections. During this term, he continued to work on various developmental initiatives and social welfare programs.

राजस्थान के मुख्यमंत्री:

राजस्थान के मुख्यमंत्री के रूप में गहलोत का दूसरा कार्यकाल दिसंबर 2008 में भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस द्वारा राज्य चुनाव जीतने के बाद शुरू हुआ। अपने कार्यकाल के दौरान, उन्होंने शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य देखभाल और बुनियादी ढांचे पर ध्यान केंद्रित करते हुए कई कल्याणकारी योजनाएं और विकास परियोजनाएं लागू कीं।
