MS Dhoni Biography: M.S. Dhoni, whose full name is Mahendra Singh Dhoni, is a former Indian cricketer and one of the most successful cricket captains in the history of Indian cricket. He was born on 07 July 1981, in Ranchi, Bihar (now in Jharkhand), India. Dhoni is a right-handed batsman and wicket-keeper. He is known for his aggressive style of captaincy and his cool and calm demeanor, which earned him the nickname “Captain Cool.”

Early Life

Dhoni comes from a middle-class family in Ranchi. He developed a keen interest in cricket from a young age and was a goalkeeper for his football team before focusing solely on cricket. He initially played for local cricket clubs and performed well, catching the attention of selectors.

International Debut

He also led the Indian team to numerous victories in both Test matches and ODIs, including the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup, the 2010 and 2016 Asia Cups, and the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy.

Retirement

Dhoni declare his retirement from international cricket in August 2020. He retired from Tests in 2014 and later stepped down from captaincy in limited-overs formats.

After retirement, Dhoni remained involved in cricket as the captain of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He is also associated with various business ventures and is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Army’s Parachute Regiment.

सेवानिवृत्ति के बाद

संन्यास के बाद धोनी इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग (आईपीएल) में चेन्नई सुपर किंग्स (सीएसके) के कप्तान के रूप में क्रिकेट से जुड़े रहे। वह विभिन्न व्यावसायिक उद्यमों से भी जुड़े हुए हैं और भारतीय सेना की पैराशूट रेजिमेंट में लेफ्टिनेंट कर्नल हैं।
