Hariyali Teej 2025 is a special Hindu festival that is mostly celebrated in North Indian states such as Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh. On the day of Hariyali Teej, women fast without drinking water, wear green saris and bangles of similar colors, which are thought to represent the festival’s theme.
Kajari Teej 2025
Kajari Teej in 2025 will take place on Tuesday, August 12th. It is also known as Badi Teej. Both the northern and southern parts of the country celebrate this festival. It is celebrated in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh. People celebrate this festival to welcome the monsoon season. The city of Bundi in Rajasthan is well known for this celebration. The city is beautifully decorated for the festival. Processions of Teej Mata are held in the streets of Bundi.
Hartalika Teej 2025
Hartalika Teej celebrates the devotion of Parvati and the strength of women. The word “Hartalika” is made up of two parts. “Harat” means abduction, and “Aalika” means female friend. It refers to how Goddess Parvati’s friend helped her escape an unwanted marriage and then she performed penance on her own. On this day, women keep a fast without drinking water and worship idols of Shiva and Parvati, often made from clay or sand. The day is full of prayers, making special preparations like applying henna, and showing deep devotion. It is believed that this day brings happiness in marriage, good health, and divine blessings.

Mahakaleshwar Temple:
Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga is situated in the old city of Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh, which is in the middle of India. It is also one of the seven special places in India where people can attain liberation. The temple has a mix of different architectural styles, like Marathi, Mughal, and Dravidian.
Omkareshwar Temple:
Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga is situated on the peaceful Mandhata Island in the Narmada River. The island has a natural shape that looks like the holy ‘Om’ symbol, which makes it even more special and meaningful.
Kedarnath Temple:
Kedarnath Jyotirlinga is situated in the city of Uttarakhand. The Kedarnath temple is situated at an altitude of 3,583 meters in the Himalayas, surrounded by snow-covered mountains and stunning natural views. Nageshwar Temple:
On the coast of Saurashtra in Gujarat, between Gomati Dwarka and Bet Dwarka, there is a famous Jyotirlinga temple called Nageshwar. It is one of the most well-known temples in India and is believed to have the power to protect people from all kinds of poisons.
Rameshwar Temple:
Rameshwar Temple is in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu. The Rameshwaram Jyotirlinga is one of the busiest holy sites in the country. Apart from visiting the Rameshwaram Jyotirlinga, worshippers also go to Dhanuskhodi beach to pray to Lord Rama.
Grishneshwar Temple:
The Grishneshwar Temple was built in a Shikhara-style, with pictures of gods and goddesses carved on its walls. It is also mentioned in the Shiva Purana. The temple is located close to the Ajanta and Ellora caves. It is believed that the jyotirlinga was constructed by Ahilyabai Holkar.
