Republic Day is a gazetted holiday in India on 26 January every year. National, state and nearby government workplaces, post workplaces and banks are closed on this date. Stores and other businesses and organizations may be closed or have decreased opening hours.
The Republic Day of India is celebrated to commemorate the occasion when the Structure was shaped in 1950.
